He noted that the creative industry is constantly evolving, adding that each generation of artists builds on the work of those before them. Sanwo-Olu praised Tiwa Savage for establishing a platform designed to discover and nurture young African music talents. According to him, the initiative demonstrates the singer’s commitment to giving others the same opportunities she once received. He explained that the foundation will help build capacity in the industry by providing professional training in areas such as music production, mixing and other aspects of the creative process.
The governor also highlighted efforts by the Lagos State government to strengthen the creative economy through training programmes and partnerships with industry institutions. According to him, thousands of people have been trained in areas such as music, fashion and film through initiatives supported by the state government.
