Former England international Raheem Sterling has admitted dangerous driving after crashing his Lamborghini into motorway barriers in Hampshire in May. The 31-year-old footballer appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where he also admitted possessing nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. The case follows a single-vehicle collision on the southbound M3 motorway near the Minley Interchange on May 28, 2026. Sterling pleaded guilty to driving his Lamborghini Urus dangerously on the M25, M3 and A327 motorways and Minley Road before the crash. According to evidence presented to the court, motorists contacted emergency services after allegedly witnessing the vehicle being driven erratically. Hampshire Police previously confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the collision and that nobody was injured.Sterling, who is from Berkshire, was arrested following the incident. The former England winger also admitted possessing six canisters of nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas”, for wrongful inhalation.
