Nigeria Presents Letters of Credence to Ambassador-Designates

The Federal Government has formally presented Letters of Credence to newly appointed Ambassador-Designates, marking a significant step in strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement and international partnerships. The ceremony, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was conducted on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to proactive foreign policy and global cooperation under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The presentation of Letters of Credence officially authorises ambassador-designates to represent Nigeria in their respective host countries and international organisations.

Government officials noted that the appointments reflect the administration’s effort to reposition Nigeria’s diplomatic missions to promote economic diplomacy, attract foreign investment, and advance national interests abroad. The newly designated ambassadors were charged to uphold professionalism, integrity, and patriotism while projecting Nigeria’s image positively on the global stage During the ceremony, the ambassadors were encouraged to focus on:
