Lagos GAC Member Ajomale Vows To Oppose Rep Onuakaluasi Over Alleged Ethnic Bias A member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Henry Ajomale, has vowed to mobilise political opposition against the re-election bid of House of Representatives member Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, citing allegations of ethnic imbalance in the distribution of beneficiaries under an empowerment programme. Ajomale reportedly accused the lawmaker, who represents Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II, of favouring members of a particular ethnic group in selecting beneficiaries for the initiative, a claim that has sparked political controversy within Lagos political circles. Speaking on the development, Ajomale alleged that the empowerment list released by the lawmaker disproportionately favoured individuals of Igbo extraction, arguing that the constituency is multi-ethnic and should reflect fairness and inclusiveness in public programmes.

He stated that political leaders and stakeholders would work to prevent Onuakalusi’s return to the National Assembly if the concerns raised by constituents were not addressed. According to him, elected representatives must ensure equitable distribution of opportunities regardless of ethnicity or political affiliation.
