US Completes Full Military Withdrawal From Federal Iraq, Government Says
Iraq’s government has announced that United States forces have completed a “full withdrawal” from all military facilities within the country’s federal territory.In a statement, Iraqi officials clarified that the withdrawal applies only to federal Iraq and does not include the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region in the north, where US troops will continue to maintain a presence.
