Tinubu Urges Nations to Embed UN Charter Preamble in Constitutions to Strengthen Global Peace President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on member states of the United Nations to incorporate the Preamble of the UN Charter into their national constitutions, as part of efforts to promote global peace, justice, human dignity and stronger international cooperation. Speaking on international governance and diplomatic cooperation, Tinubu said embedding the foundational principles of the UN Charter at the constitutional level would reinforce shared global values and strengthen commitment to peaceful coexistence among nations. He emphasised that the principles enshrined in the UN Charter including respect for human rights, equality among nations, and collective security remain essential in addressing today’s global challenges, including conflict, inequality, and geopolitical tensions.
