President Tinubu Appoints Governor Uba Sani Of Kaduna State As Renewed Hope
President Tinubu appoints Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General
Abuja President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as a Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilisation, a senior role aimed at strengthening nationwide support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a State House press release in Abuja on Tuesday. President Tinubu, acting in his capacity as leader of the APC, said he chose Governor Sani for his salient leadership qualities and strong organisational abilities attributes the administration believes are essential for expanding grassroots engagement and consolidating party unity nationwide.
As Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General, Governor Sani will work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador initiative, the APC National Chairman, and other party structures to promote harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all tiers of party outreach and mobilisation. In his new capacity, Governor Sani’s duties will include:
Galvanising support for APC programmes and policies across all regions of Nigeria. Promoting and disseminating the party’s achievements, milestones, and government initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Strengthening public confidence and broadening awareness of the APC’s message and candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. President Tinubu emphasised that strategic preparation and citizen engagement will be crucial in rallying support for the party’s platform and deepening its reach nationwide. In a letter conveying the appointment, the President wrote:“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election. Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically.”
The Renewed Hope Ambassador structure is part of an ongoing effort by the Tinubu administration and the APC to deepen public awareness of government programmes and build widespread political support ahead of the upcoming general elections. Political analysts see the initiative as a key pillar of grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement strategy. Governor Sani’s appointment highlights the party’s push to consolidate national cohesion, broaden outreach efforts across Nigeria’s diverse regions, and align party structures in preparation for intensified political activity over the coming months. Before this appointment, Uba Sani served as Governor of Kaduna State, where he has focused on infrastructure development, security engagement, and economic initiatives since taking office. His leadership role in one of Nigeria’s most politically significant states adds strategic weight to his new national assignment. Political experts say Governor Sani’s role will be pivotal in mobilising support for APC candidates in the 2027 elections, particularly as the party seeks to strengthen its nationwide cohesion and communicate its policy priorities. Analysts also expect coordinated campaigns, town-hall engagements and intensified outreach in key regions under the renewed mandate.
