It described the purported council as unauthorised and misleading, urging Nigerians to disregard any communication or representation linked to it.
The Presidency stressed that the official machinery of government operates through clearly established channels and recognised institutions, warning that individuals or groups attempting to associate themselves with the Presidency without approval are acting fraudulently. Members of the public were advised to verify all official appointments and government-related announcements through recognised government communication platforms, including the State House and other verified federal information channels. The statement further cautioned against engaging with individuals or organisations making unverified claims of federal appointments, noting that such actions could mislead the public and damage the credibility of government institutions. The Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability under the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” while reiterating that all legitimate appointments are duly announced through official channels. Authorities also indicated that appropriate security and investigative agencies may be alerted to examine the activities of groups or persons involved in circulating false information.
