Ogun Inaugurates Safe Schools Steering Committee to Strengthen Security in Education Sector The Ogun State Government has inaugurated a multi-sectoral Safe Schools Steering Committee aimed at addressing emerging security challenges in schools across the state and ensuring a safer and more conducive environment for teaching and learning. The committee was formally launched as part of efforts to strengthen coordination among key stakeholders in the education sector, including government agencies, security services, community representatives, and development partners. Speaking at the inauguration, the Commissioner for Education described the initiative as a strategic response to evolving threats affecting school environments.
