NYSC Announces September 3 Pass-Out Date For 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II
NYSC Announces September 3 Pass-Out Date for 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II The National Youth Service Corps NYSC has announced Thursday, September 3, 2026, as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II. The announcement brings an end to the one-year mandatory national service programme for members of the batch, who were deployed to different states across the country for their primary assignments and community development activities. According to the NYSC management, Certificates of National Service will be presented to eligible corps members on the scheduled date at the Local Government Area level.
The scheme urged corps members, employers and other stakeholders to take note of the approved date and make the necessary preparations. The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, and shared through the scheme’s official communication channels. The management confirmed that members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II would officially complete their service year on Thursday, September 3. The date marks the culmination of months of national service following the corps members’ mobilisation and orientation exercise. The 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation exercise commenced nationwide on September 24, 2025. Registration was conducted between September 24 and 26, while the three-week orientation camp programme concluded on October 14, 2025. After leaving the orientation camps, the corps members proceeded to their various Places of Primary Assignment PPAs, where they continued the service year while also participating in Community Development Service CDS activities. The NYSC said Certificates of National Service would be distributed to corps members at the Local Government level on the approved pass-out date. The arrangement is expected to allow the process to take place across the various locations where corps members have completed their service. Unlike some major public ceremonies, NYSC passing-out activities are generally conducted on a relatively low key basis at the local government level. The announcement for Stream II comes weeks after members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I completed their national service. The Stream I corps members passed out on July 9, 2026. With the September 3 date now fixed, members of the Stream II batch can begin final preparations for the completion of their service year and collection of their Certificates of National Service. The management advised corps members, employers and other stakeholders involved in the service programme to take note of the September 3 date. For the affected corps members, the announcement represents the final stage of a year long programme designed to promote national integration, community development and service among Nigerian graduates.
The NYSC, established in 1973, deploys eligible graduates to states other than their states of origin as part of its broader objective of promoting national unity and cross-cultural understanding.
With the September 3 pass-out date confirmed, members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II will officially conclude their national service and receive their certificates marking completion of the programme.
