Nigerian Navy Intercepts 500 Litres of Suspected Stolen AGO, Cannabis in LagosThe Nigerian Navy has intercepted 500 litres of products suspected to be illegally sourced Automotive Gas Oil AGO and substances suspected to be cannabis in Folu Community, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. The operation was carried out by naval personnel who recovered the suspected illegally sourced petroleum products alongside the substances during an operation in the community.According to reports, the individuals suspected to be involved in the illegal activities fled the scene before they could be apprehended. The recovered items have since been taken to a naval base, where they are expected to undergo further investigation.The Navy said appropriate action would be taken based on the outcome of the investigation. The interception is part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to tackle illegal oil activities, petroleum product theft and other forms of criminality across Lagos waterways and coastal communities.
