Nigeria and U.S. Strengthen Security Cooperation, Advance Religious Freedom Dialogue The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the United States of America have agreed to strengthen security cooperation and deepen dialogue on religious freedom as part of renewed diplomatic engagements between both countries.

The discussions were held under ongoing bilateral consultations aimed at improving regional security, counterterrorism efforts, and the protection of fundamental human rights. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to expanding intelligence sharing, counterterrorism coordination, and capacity building for security agencies.

Both Nigeria and the United States expressed optimism that the strengthened partnership will lead to more structured frameworks for security cooperation and continued dialogue on human rights and religious tolerance.
