A Man And A Woman Have Been Charged In Connection With The Fatal Shooting

A man and a woman have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Shanice Brookes, a bystander who was killed outside a bar in Sheffield city centre, in what police have described as a “senseless” act of gun violence. The incident happened in the early hours of Monday outside the One Four One bar on West Street, where Brookes, 30, was caught up in the shooting while on a night out. Jemele Rhone, 30, has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm, and possession of criminal property, while Deiryen Dyce, 32, has been charged with assisting an offender along with offences related to ammunition, drugs, and criminal property. Both are due to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.Police also confirmed that another man who was initially arrested in connection with the investigation has since been released and is no longer treated as a suspect.
