NDLEA Arrests 306 Suspects, Prosecutes 64 in Ogun State Jan–May 2026 he National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA in Ogun State has intensified its anti-drug operations, recording major enforcement achievements between January and May 2026. According to the agency, a total of 306 suspects were arrested, comprising 272 males and 34 females, while 64 individuals were prosecuted for various drug-related offences within the period.

The Ogun State Commander disclosed that the operations also led to the seizure of large quantities of illicit substances, including cannabis sativa, methamphetamine, cocaine, tramadol, codeine, and locally abused mixtures such as “skuchies” and “monkey tail.” In total, authorities confiscated thousands of kilograms and litres of drugs during coordinated raids across different parts of the state. Some suspects were also counselled and rehabilitated, as part of NDLEA’s demand-reduction strategy. The command further revealed that a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory operated by a transnational criminal network, including foreign collaborators, was dismantled in the state, marking one of the most significant breakthroughs of the year. NDLEA officials said the operations were intelligence-driven and aimed at disrupting drug supply chains, reducing substance abuse, and strengthening public safety in Ogun State.
