More Than 148,000 Scottish Students Set to Receive Exam Results

More than 148,000 learners across Scotland are due to receive their examination results on Tuesday as the Scottish Qualifications Authority SQA releases outcomes for Nationals, Highers, Advanced Highers and Skills for Work Awards. Thousands of students who sat exams earlier this year will receive their results by post, while those registered for the SQA’s online services will also be able to access their grades digitally from the morning of results day. The release marks a significant milestone for pupils awaiting confirmation of university, college, apprenticeship and employment opportunities.

According to the SQA, candidates who signed up for the MySQA service will be able to view their results online from 8:00 a.m., while printed certificates are expected to arrive by first-class post later the same day. Education authorities have advised learners who do not achieve their expected grades not to panic, noting that support will be available through schools, colleges, universities and Skills Development Scotland. Guidance services will assist students in exploring alternative pathways, including clearing opportunities, apprenticeships, college courses and appeals where appropriate. Universities and colleges across Scotland are also expected to activate their admissions support services on results day to help applicants understand their options and make informed decisions about their next steps.
