Lauren Bennett, British Singer and ‘Party Rock Anthem’ Vocalist, Dies at 37

British singer Lauren Bennett, best known for lending her vocals to LMFAO’s 2011 global hit Party Rock Anthem and for her work with the girl group G.R.L., has died at the age of 37. The news was announced by her former bandmates in a statement shared on social media. No cause of death was disclosed. In a tribute, G.R.L. described Bennett as a beloved friend whose warmth, kindness and talent touched countless people. The group said they would forever cherish the memories they shared with her and thanked fans for their support during a difficult time.

Bennett rose to international prominence after featuring on LMFAO’s chart-topping single Party Rock Anthem, one of the biggest-selling songs of 2011. She also appeared in the song’s widely viewed music video, helping cement its place as one of the defining pop hits of the decade. Before achieving mainstream success, Bennett performed with the pop group Paradiso Girls. She later became a member of G.R.L., the girl group formed by choreographer Robin Antin, and contributed to songs including Ugly Heart and Pitbull’s collaboration Wild Wild Love.

Following the death of fellow G.R.L. member Simone Battle in 2014, Bennett and her bandmates became advocates for mental health awareness, releasing the tribute single Lighthouse to honour their late friend and encourage conversations about mental wellbeing.
