FRSC Impounds 39 Vehicles in Kebbi Over Traffic Violations
The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Kebbi Sector Command, has impounded 39 vehicles for various traffic offences as part of a special enforcement operation aimed at improving road safety compliance across the state. The Sector Commander, Mrs Rukayya Zakaria, said the operation was launched to address violations of traffic regulations and reduce road traffic crashes. She noted that the enforcement exercise targets motorists whose actions pose risks to road users. According to the command, the affected vehicles were seized for offences including overloading, route violations, and other breaches of road safety regulations. The FRSC said the exercise would continue across Kebbi State as part of efforts to promote safer driving practices, ensure compliance with traffic laws, and protect the lives of motorists, passengers, and pedestrians.
The Corps urged road users to cooperate with enforcement officials and adhere to safety measures, including avoiding excessive loading, using approved routes, and complying with traffic rules.
