First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Flags Off Community Food Bank Programme in Anambra Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has flagged off the National Community Food Bank Programme in Anambra State, extending the Federal Government’s food-support initiative to the South-East zone. The programme is aimed at supporting vulnerable households and strengthening food security through community-based interventions across the country.

The First Lady’s visit to Anambra also featured the commissioning of the TETFUND/RHI ICT Experience Centre, as part of efforts to promote digital access, skills development and technology-driven opportunity. The National Community Food Bank Programme is part of the administration’s broader social intervention efforts designed to cushion economic pressures and provide assistance to Nigerians facing food insecurity. The South-East launch in Anambra is expected to expand access to food support for vulnerable communities within the region. During the programme, the First Lady also commissioned the TETFUND/RHI ICT Experience Centre. The centre is expected to provide an avenue for young people and other beneficiaries to access digital resources and develop technology-related skills. The initiatives form part of the Federal Government’s broader Renewed Hope Agenda, with emphasis on social welfare, human capital development and expanding opportunities for Nigerians.
