FG Strengthens Partnership With OAU on Mineral Resources, Innovation The Federal Government is strengthening its partnership with Obafemi Awolowo University OAU to promote the development of Nigeria’s mineral resources sector, research and innovation. The collaboration is aimed at leveraging the university’s academic expertise and research capacity to support government efforts to unlock greater value from the country’s vast mineral resources. The partnership is expected to create opportunities for stronger collaboration between government institutions and academia in areas including mineral exploration, technology, research and skills development. By involving higher institutions in the development of the sector, the Federal Government is seeking to encourage home-grown solutions and innovation that can improve the exploration, processing and utilisation of Nigeria’s mineral resources.
