FG Inspects Strategic Road and Bridge Projects, Enforces Standards under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Government Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Infrastructure, Accountability, and Timely Delivery Nationwide ABUJA — The Federal Government has intensified on-the-spot inspections of ongoing strategic road and bridge projects across the country as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reaffirming its commitment to quality infrastructure, value for money, and strict adherence to construction standards. Senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Works, led by the Honourable Minister, conducted inspections of key federal highways and bridge projects to assess progress, ensure compliance with approved specifications, and address challenges affecting timely completion.

During the inspection tours, the Minister emphasized that the Tinubu administration would not tolerate substandard work or unnecessary delays, stressing that infrastructure development remains central to economic growth, national integration, and improved quality of life for Nigerians.

“These projects are critical to our economy and the daily lives of Nigerians. Under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, every contractor must deliver quality work that meets global standards and provides long-term value,” the Minister said.

The inspected projects include major arterial roads linking key commercial corridors, as well as bridges designed to enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and improve safety for commuters. Engineers and project managers were directed to accelerate work where necessary while maintaining strict quality control. Officials also reviewed funding flows, contractor performance, and environmental and safety compliance, noting that regular monitoring would continue to ensure transparency and accountability in project execution. Community leaders and road users in some of the project locations expressed optimism that the renewed oversight would fast-track completion and reduce the long-standing challenges posed by poor road conditions. The Federal Government reiterated that sustained investment in infrastructure is a cornerstone of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at stimulating economic activity, creating jobs, and positioning Nigeria for long-term development.
