EMIRATES, AIR PEACE EXPAND INTERLINE AGREEMENT TO DELIVER
SEAMLESS GLOBAL CONNECTIVITY
Major Aviation Partnership Enhances Nigeria’s Links to Dubai, London & Beyond Emirates the world’s largest international airline and Air Peace, West Africa’s largest carrier based in Nigeria, have activated an expanded bilateral interline agreement to deliver seamless global connectivity for passengers across Africa, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Europe. The move builds on their existing partnership and improves travel options by enabling smoother connections to major hubs like Dubai and London. Single-Ticket Travel: Passengers can now book journeys on both carriers under one itinerary, with luggage through-checked between flights eliminating the need to recheck baggage during transfers. Expanded Route Access: In addition to the 13 Nigerian cities already linked via Air Peace’s network, the expanded agreement now includes connections to:
Banjul (The Gambia) and Dakar (Senegal) via Abidjan
Freetown (Sierra Leone) and Monrovia (Liberia) via Accra
These additions widen access for travellers from West and Central
Air Peace customers from cities like Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano can connect via Emirates’ hub in Dubai, with onward service to key international destinations including London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted) and other global points.
Emirates passengers journeying into Nigeria can now easily continue travel to more regional West African cities via Air Peace.
“Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand our footprint across more of Africa, creating new opportunities for people to fly better with Emirates, while helping international tourists explore more of the region via Lagos.”
Nowel Ngala Chief Commercial Officer, Air Peace:
“This agreement represents a major step in our strategic vision to connect Africa more efficiently to global markets… delivering seamless connectivity, improved travel experience and greater access to key global destinations for African travellers.”
Single-ticket bookings reduce stress and complexity for travellers moving between domestic, regional and long-haul flights. Passengers across West and Central Africa now have increased access to global networks via a combination of Air Peace’s regional reach and Emirates’ extensive international routes.
Boost for Tourism & Trade: Improved air connectivity supports travel demand for business, leisure and diaspora markets, and enhances tourism flows between Africa, the UAE and the United Kingdom. The expanded interline agreement strengthens Nigeria’s aviation landscape and positions the country as a key connectivity hub between Africa and the rest of the world. For many African travellers, the ability to book single-ticket journeys with through-checked baggage and connect smoothly to global destinations reduces travel barriers and opens up broader opportunities for mobility, economic engagement and cultural exchange.
