Party leaders at the meeting said their endorsement of Danladi was based on his legislative experience, leadership record in the state assembly, and perceived ability to consolidate development projects initiated under the current administration. They also emphasised the need for unity within the APC in Kwara, warning against internal divisions that could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. The stakeholders urged members across Asa LGA to mobilise support for the party at all levels, while calling on youths and women groups to play active roles in strengthening the APC’s grassroots structures. The endorsement adds to a growing wave of political backing for Danladi within Kwara APC circles, following similar declarations by other party blocs across the state. Political observers say the early endorsements reflect intensified positioning within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 governorship contest, as aspirants begin consolidating support bases across local government areas.
