Noel Clarke Charged With Six Sexual Offences Involving Five Women
British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following allegations made by five women over incidents said to have occurred between 2007 and 2016. The 50 year-old actor faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure, according to the Crown Prosecution Service CPS. The charges follow an investigation by the Metropolitan Police that began in September 2025. Clarke is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on October 21. The CPS said prosecutors had determined that there was sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that prosecuting the allegations was in the public interest. Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for London, said the charges followed allegations of sexual misconduct made by five women concerning events between 2007 and 2016. Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the women connected to the case continue to receive support from specially trained police officers. Police have also urged anyone who believes they may have been a victim of sexual assault to come forward, stressing that information provided would be handled sensitively. Clarke, who is best known for writing and starring in the 2006 film Kidulthood, also had a recurring role in the long-running science-fiction television series Doctor Who. Allegations of sexual misconduct against Clarke first became public in 2021 following reports Clarke has denied the allegations. The latest charges represent a significant development in the case and mean that formal criminal proceedings are now under way. The CPS has reminded members of the public that Clarke is entitled to a fair trial and that the allegations remain allegations unless and until proven in court. Authorities have also warned against online commentary or the sharing of material that could prejudice the legal proceedings. Clarke is expected to appear in court next month as the judicial process begins.
