The presentation ceremony formed part of established diplomatic procedures and signalled the commencement of official engagement ahead of the envoy’s formal accreditation. The High Commissioner-designate reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Ghana, focusing on areas of mutual interest including trade, regional security, economic cooperation and people-to-people ties.
Nigeria and Ghana share longstanding historical, cultural and economic connections, with both countries playing important roles in the affairs of the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS. Officials at the ceremony expressed optimism that the new diplomatic assignment would further deepen cooperation between the two nations and advance shared objectives within the West African region.
