Federal, Kogi State Projects Inspected During National Media Tour

A delegation comprising members of the Presidential Communications Team and participants in the National Media Tour visited the Confluence University of Science and Technology CUSTECH, Osara, Kogi State, to inspect ongoing and completed federal and state government projects at the institution.

During the visit, the university’s Director of Administration, Mohammed Ahmed, said the Federal Government, through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFund, had funded the construction of several academic facilities, including the Faculty of Science Complex, Faculty of Environmental Sciences Complex, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences Complex, and the Faculty of Anatomy. Ahmed said the projects are valued at more than ₦2.3 billion and are intended to strengthen teaching, research, and learning infrastructure at the university. He added that under TETFund’s 2025 Special Intervention, the institution also received support for the construction of a female hostel, project maintenance works, and academic and research development initiatives.

The inspection formed part of a broader tour of infrastructure projects in Kogi State involving both federal and state government investments. According to the organizers, the tour is aimed at providing participants with firsthand information on selected public infrastructure and development projects across the country.

The Confluence University of Science and Technology, located in Osara, was established by the Kogi State Government to expand access to science and technology education in the state.
