Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Appoints Maikori, Maicitte, Gusau to Strengthen Governance Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved the appointment of Audu Maikori, Umar Uba Maicitte and Aminu Mohammed Gusau to key government positions as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate the administration’s development agenda. The appointments, according to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Musa, are aimed at injecting fresh energy into the public service and improving service delivery across the state. Maikori was appointed Chief Strategic Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs, while Maicitte was named Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations. Gusau was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.

Governor Sani also approved the reconstitution of the governing council of Kaduna State University KASU and the boards of several state-owned agencies, including the Kaduna Mining Development Company, Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency and Kaduna State Media Corporation. For the KASU Governing Council, Dr Ibrahim Umar was appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, alongside other members representing different zones of the state and the organised private sector. The governor described the new appointees as professionals selected based on their experience, competence and commitment to Kaduna State’s socio-economic development. He charged them to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, transparency and accountability. The latest appointments form part of the Kaduna State Government’s broader efforts to strengthen institutions, improve coordination and advance its development programmes through experienced leadership across government agencies.
