OGEPA Urges Ogun Industries to Strengthen Environmental Compliance and CSR The Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency OGEPA has called on industries operating across the state to comply with environmental regulations, strengthen corporate social responsibility CSR initiatives and adopt sustainable practices to protect the environment. OGEPA said industries have a responsibility to ensure that their operations do not negatively affect communities and ecosystems, urging companies to prioritise proper waste management, pollution control and environmentally friendly practices. The agency stressed the importance of collaboration between government regulators, businesses and host communities in promoting sustainable industrial growth across Ogun State.

According to OGEPA, stronger environmental compliance will help reduce pollution, improve public health and support long-term economic development while allowing industries to operate responsibly. The agency also encouraged companies to increase their CSR activities by supporting community development projects and addressing environmental concerns in areas where they operate. OGEPA noted that sustainable business practices are essential as Ogun continues to expand as one of Nigeria’s major industrial hubs. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing environmental standards while working with industries to create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment for residents.
