NANS Threatens Nationwide Protest Against South African Interests, Targets MTN, MultiChoice and Stanbic IBTC The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS has announced plans for a nationwide protest against South African-linked businesses in Nigeria, threatening to disrupt the operations of MTN, MultiChoice and urging Nigerians to close their accounts with Stanbic IBTC Bank. The association specifically mentioned telecommunications company MTN, pay-TV provider MultiChoice and Stanbic IBTC Bank as targets of its proposed campaign, calling on Nigerians to withdraw support from the affected businesses. The announcement has sparked discussions over the relationship between Nigerian consumers and foreign-owned companies operating in the country, as well as the potential economic impact of any planned disruption.

The affected companies have not yet issued official responses to the threat.
