CP VISITS SCENE AS OGUN POLICE INVESTIGATE KILLING OF RETIRED BROADCASTER, GUARD The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has carried out an on-the-spot assessment visit to the scene where retired broadcaster MS Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard were allegedly killed in the state. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, is part of ongoing efforts by the Ogun State Police Command to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and intensify investigations into the killings that have sparked concern across the state. During the inspection, Ojajuni was said to have received briefings from detectives handling the case and reviewed progress made so far in the investigation. He also assessed the condition of the residence where the victims were found. Police authorities confirmed that the security guard was discovered dead inside the security post, while Oyesiku’s body was later found within her apartment after officers responded to reports of suspicious activity at the residence.The command also disclosed that the victim’s vehicle, a Lexus RX300, which was initially reported missing after the incident, has been recovered during a night operation and secured as a key exhibit in the ongoing investigation.

According to the police, the recovery of the vehicle marks a significant development as detectives continue to piece together clues that may help identify those responsible for the attack. Ojajuni reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice, assuring the public that “no stone will be left unturned” in the investigation.

He also expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured residents that security agencies were deploying all available resources to resolve the case. The killings have continued to generate public concern among residents and members of the media community, with calls for a swift and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.Police say further updates will be communicated as investigations progress.
