60km Odolu–Ogale–Enugu Road Upgrade Set to Boost Connectivity in Kogi East The ongoing construction of the 60-kilometre Odolu–Ogale–Enugu Road in Kogi East has received attention during the Renewed Hope National Media Tour, with officials inspecting the infrastructure project at Ottutulu Community in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. The road project, currently under construction, is being upgraded with laterite surfacing and concrete drainage systems designed to improve its durability and ensure easier movement throughout the year. The intervention is expected to address longstanding transportation challenges faced by communities along the route by improving access, reducing travel difficulties and strengthening connections between rural settlements. When completed, the Odolu–Ogale–Enugu Road is projected to enhance the movement of agricultural produce, goods and residents while supporting economic activities across Kogi East.

Officials described the project as part of the Federal Government’s broader infrastructure development drive under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on expanding road networks, improving regional connectivity and creating conditions for economic growth.

Residents and stakeholders in the area are expected to benefit from improved access to markets, healthcare facilities, schools and other essential services once the road is fully completed. The inspection formed part of the North Central phase of the Renewed Hope National Media Tour, which highlights ongoing government projects and interventions across various sectors in Kogi State and other parts of the country.
