With Federal Projects “Everywhere,” Kaduna Governor Says State Will Re-Elect Tinubu in 2027
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has predicted that the state will support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing the impact of numerous federal government projects across the state.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ engagement on the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, the governor said the scale of federal interventions and infrastructure development in Kaduna under Tinubu’s leadership has strengthened his party’s dominance and will translate into solid electoral support. Sani highlighted several initiatives, including N1 billion federal support for the Kaduna light rail project and the selection of the state as a pilot for a major $200m poultry project expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs. He also pointed to road construction and other critical infrastructure as evidence of tangible dividends of the partnership between the state and federal governments. The governor said the ongoing projects have boosted APC membership and triggered defections from opposition parties, reinforcing the party’s position ahead of the next general election.
Supporters of Tinubu’s administration welcomed the comments, framing the federal projects as “visible results” that they believe will galvanise voter backing in Kaduna and beyond.
