During the operation, troops neutralised 24 insurgents while several others fled with gunshot wounds into surrounding bush paths.
Security officials confirmed that the military maintained control of Kukareta following the confrontation, preventing further casualties among resident Reports indicated that two soldiers sustained injuries during the exchange of fire and were immediately evacuated for medical treatment. Authorities said the wounded personnel were in stable condition. Recovered items from the fleeing terrorists reportedly included weapons, ammunition, and operational equipment abandoned during the retreat.
