MIKE MAKINDE CLINCHES DOAM FOUNDATION GOLF TITLE WITH 65 NETT IN LAGOS Mike Makinde has emerged winner of the 15th DOAM Foundation Golf Tournament, delivering a standout performance at the Ikoyi Club 1938 Golf Section in Lagos with an impressive 65 nett score. The closely contested tournament saw Makinde outplay strong challengers including Paul Tijani and Segun Adekoya, who finished as first and second runners-up respectively, after a competitive round that featured over 160 golfers.
Makinde, an 8-handicapper, maintained consistency throughout the tournament to secure the overall title, edging ahead of his rivals in a field that tested precision and mental strength on the challenging Ikoyi course. Tijani and Adekoya pushed closely but were unable to match Makinde’s steady form, as he held his lead through the final stages of play to clinch victory. As champion, Makinde was rewarded with a range of prizes, including a Zinox Elite Pro 2 Ultra 7 Intel Core laptop and a M1 Basic blood pressure monitor, among other gifts presented to top performers at the event. Other category winners also received various prizes such as household appliances and hospitality packages, reflecting the tournament’s blend of sport and philanthropy.
