Lagos APC unveils House of Reps and Assembly candidates for 2027 elections, Obasa clinches Agege ticket The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has officially unveiled its list of candidates for the House of Representatives and the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made by the party’s state leadership, confirming winners of its recent primaries across federal and state constituencies. Among the major names on the list is the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, who emerged as the party’s candidate for Agege Federal Constituency. The list also includes several incumbent lawmakers and party stakeholders who secured tickets across Lagos’ 24 federal constituencies and 40 state assembly seats following competitive and, in some cases, consensus-based primaries. According to the party, 24 candidates emerged for the House of Representatives, while 40 flagbearers were selected for the Lagos State House of Assembly after the completion of ward and constituency-level primaries across the state. The exercise was closely monitored by party officials and security agencies, with results collated from all local government areas in Lagos. Mudashiru Obasa, a long-serving lawmaker and influential political figure in Lagos politics, clinched the APC ticket for Agege Federal Constituency. His emergence further consolidates his political influence in Agege, where he has served in the state legislature for multiple terms and remains a key stakeholder in party structure and decision-making.
