Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Gantry Price to ₦1,175/Litre

Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market received a boost on Monday as Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a reduction in its petrol ex-gantry (depot) price from ₦1,250 per litre to ₦1,175 per litre, representing a ₦75 per litre decrease. The new pricing takes effect from June 16, 2026.According to a notice issued to fuel marketers, the refinery reviewed its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) pricing following a decline in international crude oil prices and easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, factors that have recently influenced global energy markets. The adjustment comes barely weeks after the refinery lowered its gantry price from ₦1,275 to ₦1,250 per litre, continuing a series of price reviews aimed at reflecting changing market conditions. Industry analysts expect the latest reduction to lower fuel procurement costs for marketers and could eventually lead to lower pump prices at filling stations nationwide, depending on distribution and retail margins. The refinery also reportedly reduced its coastal supply price, signaling a broader downward adjustment in its petroleum product pricing structure.
