Court Grants BLord Bail After 16 Days In Custody, Orders Passport Deposit And Two Sureties A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Nigerian entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLord, after spending 16 days in custody, with the court ordering him to deposit his international passport and provide two reputable sureties. The court ruling came on Friday during the ongoing hearing in a case involving alleged impersonation linked to social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

BLord had been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre since April 1, 2026, following his arraignment on multiple charges connected to the dispute, including allegations relating to identity misuse and related offences. Delivering the ruling, the presiding judge granted bail under what was described as liberal conditions, taking into account arguments presented by the defence and the absence of strong opposition from the prosecution. As part of the bail terms, the court ordered BLord to surrender his international passport to the court registry and provide two sureties of reputable standing who must meet the court’s requirements. The court further warned that the defendant must not take any actions capable of interfering with the ongoing proceedings while the case remains before it.

Court records indicate that the dispute stems from allegations that BLord used the image and identity of VeryDarkMan in promotional content without consent, a claim that triggered the legal confrontation between both parties. BLord’s legal team had argued for bail based on constitutional provisions and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, maintaining that he should be allowed to stand trial while out of custody. With the bail granted, the case has been adjourned for further hearing at a later date, while BLord is expected to comply with all conditions set by the court before release.
