Tinubu Receives Letters of Credence from Foreign Envoys at Presidential Villa, Abuja President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received Letters of Credence from several envoys designated to Nigeria during a formal ceremony held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, reaffirming Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements with the international community. The ceremony featured the presentation of credentials by newly appointed ambassadors and high commissioners, marking their official accreditation to represent their respective countries in Nigeria. During the brief but formal engagement, President Tinubu welcomed the diplomats and emphasised Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations across trade, security, education, and development cooperation.

He noted that his administration remains focused on advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, with diplomacy playing a key role in attracting investment and fostering international partnerships. The President also assured the envoys of Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate on shared global priorities, including regional stability, economic growth, and climate action. The presentation of Letters of Credence officially allows the envoys to begin their diplomatic duties in Nigeria. The newly accredited representatives are expected to engage with Nigerian ministries, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders to deepen cooperation between Nigeria and their respective countries. The event took place at the State House Banquet Hall within the Presidential Villa, where President Tinubu received the diplomats in line with established diplomatic protocol. Senior government officials and aides of the President were also present at the ceremony, which was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nigeria, under the Tinubu administration, has continued to emphasise active participation in global diplomacy, with renewed focus on strengthening ties with strategic partners across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
