Dakur, a former commissioner in the state, announced his defection during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Kerang District, his hometown, where he formally unveiled his new political platform and consulted with community leaders and supporters. Addressing elders, youth leaders, women groups, and political associates at the meeting, Dakur said his decision to leave the APC was guided by his commitment to a more inclusive and people-focused style of leadership.
