PenCom Highlights Pension Reforms, Progress at State House Media Briefing The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, and the Director-General of the National Pension Commission PenCom, Omolola Oloworaran, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, addressed journalists at the State House during a media briefing focused on the activities, reforms and achievements of the commission. The briefing provided an opportunity for PenCom to highlight developments within Nigeria’s pension industry, including efforts to strengthen the administration of retirement savings, improve regulatory oversight and enhance confidence in the Contributory Pension Scheme. Oloworaran outlined the commission’s commitment to expanding pension coverage, improving service delivery and ensuring that pension assets are managed in a secure and transparent manner. She noted that ongoing reforms are aimed at making the pension system more accessible, efficient and beneficial to contributors and retirees.
